General Manager, South Florida Service
Scott oversees all aspects of Hill York’s service department across our South Florida operations. His responsibilities include recruiting and training service technicians, planning and managing projects, scheduling work processes, and cultivating customer relationships.
Scott led Hill York’s successful transition to an innovative, paperless, mobile platform with video-based service reporting and streamlined billing capabilities. His team-building talent helps develop our technicians, and his focus on site safety and OSHA compliance empowers them to remain accountable and vigilant.
Offering nearly 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry; Scott started as an HVAC Apprentice in 2002. Throughout his career, he advanced through positions as Journeyman, Assistant Service Manager, Service Manager, and Service Group Manager before joining Hill York in 2020.
His experience includes launching remote branches and building leading-edge service teams with state-of-the-art technology. He has also collaborated in the development of a Peer Group with international HVAC service companies to share best practices and ideas.
Scott attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s HVAC program, and has completed numerous Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) workshops, as well as the MSCA Service Managers Training Program.
He is United Association Service Technician Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration-certified and American Society of Mechanical Engineers CSD-1-certified. He is also trained to perform factory-authorized service by Mitsubishi, Viessman, Aerco, and Lochinvar.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, and playing volleyball with his daughter. He also likes to golf, work on various building projects, and comb the beach for sea glass and fossils.
